The Role As a Container Security and Governance Engineer at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of securing our cl oud-native infrastructure. You will take ownership of container image governance, vulnerability management, and security policies specifically tailored for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, ensuring our deployments are resilient, compliant, and scalable. Working closely with DevOps and cloud architecture teams, you will embed security into every stage of the container lifecycle. By integrating advanced security scanning tools and managing enterprise image registries, you will play a critical role in safeguarding mission-critical applications and delivering trusted, hardened solutions to our customers. What You Will Do Drive Governance & Policy: Manage container image governance, security, and deployment policies for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Strengthen Security: Implement Docker image scanning, vulnerability management, and container image hardening protocols. Embed SecOps: Integrate run-time scanning, static scanning tools, and policy enforcement seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines. Registry Management: Manage and oversee container images and repositories utilizing tools like Azure Container Registry (ACR), Nexus, and Artifactory. Lifecycle Control: Direct image release management, including versioning, promotion, and end-to-end lifecycle governance. Image Building: Build and maintain compliant container images using standard organizational tools. Ensure Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to container security best practices and organizational compliance standards. Required Skills and Experience Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Demonstrated expertise in container image scanning, hardening, and overarching container security standards. Direct, hands-on experience with container secur ity platforms such as Sysdig and/or Aqua Security. Proven ability to integrate container security and vulnerability management directly into CI/CD pipelines. Deep functional knowledge of container registries and artifact management (ACR, Nexus, Artifactory). Extensive background in container image release management, versioning, and promotion. Preferred Skills and Experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel or similar cloud-native SIEM/SOAR solutions. Advanced certifications in cloud security or Kubernetes (e.g., CKS, AZ-500, or equivalent). Prior experience implementing automated compliance frameworks in large-scale enterprise environments.
