Are you a senior content operator and leader?
And when you hear of the challenge of building and leading a world-class organic media machine that needs to grow from 1.5M followers to 10M followers in the next 24 months... does that excite you?
If so - working alongside our founder Richard Yu and our company Impact Clients might just be your dream role...
Now, to be clear:
This is not a social media manager role.
This is not a “make posts and schedule content” job.
This is not a gig or a short-term contractor position.
We're looking for a true executive, owner of tasks, and team builder who can grow to become a partner in our portfolio of companies.
Our Company Mission: To help ordinary people build extraordinary businesses online, and teach them the mindset and skills necessary to not just to make money, but more importantly to improve in all aspects of their lives.
Who We Are: We are an online education company that teaches people (9-5ers, busy parents, university students, etc) how to build thriving online digital product businesses.
Why We Are Looking For This Role: Richard and our team have grown our social media accounts to 1.5M+ followers (Over 1 million on Instagram @richardyuzee (feel free to look), Richard Yu on Youtube (150K+ subscribers)... and we use organic content (meaning NO advertising or boosting posts) to drive leads (customers and qualified booked calls) to our coaching programs and digital software services that we offer.
You are essentially building the "Traffic Engine" that will supply our company with unlimited amounts of leads so our company can continue to serve and impact more and more people through the coaching and software products that we offer.
Our Founder’s Story: Richard Yu began documenting his life at age 19 from his college dorm room in UCLA. Within 2 years, he launched a $500 productivity course (teaching college students how to wake up early and be productive), that ended up doing $500K in sales in 8 months. So many of his peers asked him “how did you do it?!” so he began to teach others how to monetize their knowledge and sell digital products (courses, PDFs, coaching, etc).
That grew into a consulting and education company that has now done over 30 million in sales and a team of 62 full time staff.
Feel free to reference a documentary made about his life here (1 hr documentary series):
Also - Richard's TedX talk about how we get our clients results, and transform their lives:
Our mission is to build one of the most influential organic-first personal media brands in the world with 10M+ followers across platforms while driving massive, profitable traffic into our software companies and education businesses .
We strongly believe that income is a reflection of the impact we make on this world, and so through our content we aspire to positively impact 10M followers in the next 24 months.
We are intentionally shifting away from paid growth on social and moving 100% organic-first .
This role will own that transformation as the key leader, operator, and soon business partner in our company.
Current Context
Instagram account with ~1M followers, generating multiple seven figures per year
Two YouTube channels:
Personal brand / vlog-style channel (~150K subs)
Business education channel (~40K subs in <90 days), Alex Hormozi–style sit-down teaching content, already driving meaningful revenue
Existing team members:
Dedicated Instagram copywriter
Dedicated Instagram video editor
YouTube scriptwriter / channel owner
Graphic Designer (for all platforms)
Two Video Editors
Marketing Leadership Team (that will support you, you will work alongside us)
CEO and Founder (and actor talent in this case): Richard Yu
COO
Head of Marketing (on the paid media side, so he leads every initiative and team of 10 people on the paid advertising side, this individual will be your accountability peer since you be the equivalent of him, but on the ORGANIC team side)
You will lead , not replace, these people, and then build an even more talented team on top of it.
The perfect example of this role is this individual Sam that we respect, that is the Head of Organic Content for another company in our industry.
Please watch this 60 second IG reel to understand what he does (and what we are looking for):
More context, full Youtube interview (extremely valuable where he breaks down their 8-figure/year media company:
Your Mission
Build, scale, and lead the entire organic content ecosystem —starting with Instagram, then expanding outward into YouTube, short-form platforms, and written platforms—while earning the trust, respect, and performance of a growing content team.
Operator FIRST Responsibilities:
First off - this is not a "creative first" type of role. If you just want to write copy all day for writing viral IG reels, please apply to be our copywriter (which we are always hiring for), not this role.
You will running L10 meetings (reference the book Traction, by Gino Wickman).
You will be sharing screen and typing NAS (next action steps) for every individual that shows up to meetings, and host Mon/Wed/Fri stand-ups for 30-60 min as an organized disciplined operator and cut people off on the meeting (politely :-)) when they ramble to make sure meetings are efficient.
You will be reading end of week reports that are both quantitative AND qualitative, and adding comments on the google doc to provide coaching and feedback to the Head of IG and Head of YT (and other team members).
Again - you're an operator FIRST, logical thinker, highly organized and disciplined, with a strong understanding of organic content.
ALL channel leaders (Head of IG, Head of YT, Head of Linkedin, and any outside agencies/vendors will all report to you. Think of yourself as a COO of the media company, an extremely detailed project manager making sure everyone is getting their responsibilities done on time, and ensuring overall growth.
Richard wants to be fully removed from ALL day to day operations, so examples of things that Richard is doing that he does NOT want to be doing and you will take over completely are:
If the videographer uploaded the footage late 2 days and therefore IG content goes out late because the editors didn't get the raw footage in time... Richard is NOT calling this out. You are. And you are immediately creating an SOP/process (and tough conversation with the videographer if needed) so Richard does NOT have to do it.
If the content word-for-word scripts, which are due by 5 PM EST every Monday are submitted LATE by a copywriter, YOU are the one getting ahead of this and calling it out.
If one video editor is approaching his 12 month term and is asking for a compensation bump, YOU are the one that is conducting the salary negotiation and structuring the comp structure so that it motivates the copywriter, and is sustainable for our P&L.
Phase 1: Instagram Organic (Immediate Priority)
You will work directly with our Head of Instagram to achieve 100,000 NET NEW followers gained per month (current growth: 70K/month followers)
This includes:
Leading the team of Instagram (Head of Instagram, 2 IG copywriters, 2 dedicated video editors for IG)
You must fundamentally understand how to do each one of the below tasks (even if you're not the one directly doing it):
Conducting viral content research to find the most viral and trending content that exists
Writing word for word teleprompter scripts for Richard to read off of when filming content that match his brand voice truly and sound like him
Writing or approving copy
Exceeding existing KPIs of: views, new followers, and up front cash collected
You must deeply understand Instagram before you can lead it.
Phase 2: Instagram + YouTube
Once Instagram is operating at a high level:
You will oversee both Instagram and YouTube
The YouTube channel owner and scriptwriter will report to you
You must understand:
Long-form retention
Thumbnails and titles
Watch time a
