Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (Java Developer) to join Order Fulfillment & Procurement – Cat IT Division team. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development expertise, experience with enterprise application support, and a willingness to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN
This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.
Shift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
Support Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications across development and production environments.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services for enterprise platforms.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Support application deployments, testing, and release activities.
Contribute to Agile development processes and sprint delivery.
Required Technical Skills
3 to 5 years of experience in Java application development.
Strong knowledge of:
Java 25
Spring Boot
RESTful APIs
SQL and Database Development
Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Microservices Architecture
Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise integrations is preferred.
Understanding of application support and incident management processes.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Procurement, Supply Chain, or Sales business applications.
Knowledge of integration technologies such as SnapLogic, APIs, or messaging platforms.
Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, or enterprise data platforms.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience supporting global business applications and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
